Seb Turner-Moore is an established composer and music producer known for his adaptability, modern style, and boundless passion for creating music. With a foundation in classical music and a career that spans genres like pop, rock, soul, and cinematic scoring, his work is as diverse as it is emotionally resonant. Whether crafting a dynamic chart-ready track or composing a sweeping film score that breathes life into visuals, he approaches every project with precision, creativity, and a deep understanding of musical storytelling. This blog offers a behind-the-scenes look at his creative process, experiences, and the evolving world of sound he helps shape.

From the very beginning of his musical journey, Seb approached learning and growing in a way that was deeply personal — and far from conventional. Rather than following a rigid curriculum, he trained his ear to recognize how certain sounds, melodies, and harmonies could evoke powerful emotional responses. Not just pleasant or sad notes, but sensations that resonate deep within the body — those unexplainable yet unforgettable feelings that music can awaken: joy, sorrow, tension, nostalgia, even laughter.

It was this fascination — the emotional alchemy of sound — that became the cornerstone of his creative process. As he matured in his musical understanding, Seb began experimenting with how to recreate and shape those same emotions through composition and production. It wasn’t about copying what others had done, but about learning how to communicate without words — using sound as a direct emotional language.

During his teenage years, it all clicked. Music wasn’t just a passion; it was his purpose. He dove headfirst into a world of tutorials, lessons, and workshops — absorbing everything from technical production to sound design. The advice was often contradictory: “do this,” “never do that.” But through trial and discovery, one truth became clear: there is no single right way to make music.

The real essence lies in capturing a feeling. Whether using a grand piano, a synthetic pad, a distorted guitar, or a simple vocal loop — if it moves you, it’s right. “You’ll know when you’ve found it,” he says. “Because you’ll feel it before you even understand it.”

For Seb, the process has always been about connection — between sound and emotion, between artist and audience. And that’s the energy he brings into every piece he composes or produces.

To further refine his skills and solidify his understanding of music production and sound design, Seb took the next step in his journey by studying at Ravensbourne University in London — an institution known for nurturing forward-thinking creatives. There, he immersed himself in the world of Music and Sound Design, gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard tools, techniques, and workflows.

University life wasn’t just about theory — it was where Seb deepened his creative voice, collaborated with like-minded artists, and learned how to apply professional-level polish to his work. The experience sharpened both his technical expertise and creative intuition, equipping him with the versatility to navigate any brief, genre, or creative challenge with confidence.

Now, a few years post-graduation, Seb is more driven than ever. With a growing portfolio and a clear artistic vision, he has set his ambitions high — determined to share his music with the world and prove that real, raw expression can be captured and communicated through sound. Whether composing cinematic scores, producing genre-defying tracks, or crafting sound design that stirs the senses, his mission remains the same: to move people. To make them feel.

But it wasn’t just formal education or musical exploration that ignited Seb’s passion for creating and producing music — the spark was lit much earlier. Back in 2013, when Seb was just 12 years old, a casual family lunch turned into a life-changing experience. A close friend of his father, Nick Harvey — a seasoned music producer and composer with credits spanning ITV, Disney, and other major media giants.

What began as a friendly visit quickly became something more. As Mr. Harvey shared stories about his work in the music industry, young Seb was instantly captivated. Sensing his curiosity, Mr. Harvey took him into his studio for a quick behind-the-scenes tour. There, he invited Seb to lay down some beats on the mic — his first hands-on experience with music production.

That spontaneous moment of creativity opened a door Seb never wanted to close. From that day on, he was hooked — fascinated by the power of sound, inspired by the endless possibilities, and determined to find his own voice through music. It remains a defining memory, and the very beginning of a journey he continues to build on with every project he touches.

And this is just the beginning.
