When innovation meets creativity, exciting things happen — and that’s exactly what unfolded when composer and producer Seb Turner-Moore joined forces with SubTV, a dynamic and growing play listing app designed for university students. SubTV allows students to queue songs in real time at their favourite bars and student unions, giving them control of the atmosphere wherever they go. With such a unique concept and a bold brand identity, the company was looking for a soundtrack to match — and Seb was brought in to deliver exactly that.

The brief was clear: produce music and sound design for a promotional ad that would speak directly to the student demographic — energetic, modern, and unmistakably fresh. It was a challenge that played perfectly to Seb’s strengths: blending genre-defying production with a keen sense for what resonates emotionally and culturally with a target audience.
“From the moment I was introduced to the project,” he says, “I could see how exciting and smart SubTV’s idea was. It felt like a natural fit — a fresh app for a fresh generation, and a chance to create something that felt alive, current, and fun.”
Working closely with the SubTV team, communication flowed easily. Their clear vision and collaborative spirit allowed Seb the freedom to experiment and fine-tune every element of the track — from the driving rhythm to the energetic transitions that mirror the dynamic pace of student life. The final piece combines punchy, modern production with a vibrant edge designed to grab attention and leave a lasting impression.
The promo ad, now proudly features in bars and university hubs all around the UK, it stands as a testament to the power of music in shaping brand identity and audience connection. It also marks another successful collaboration in Seb’s growing portfolio of commercial and branded projects.
Looking back, he reflects on the experience with nothing but positivity: “It was one of those projects where everything just clicked — a great team, a great concept, and the freedom to create something that truly speaks to its audience. I’m proud of the result and excited to see how SubTV continues to grow.”
For Seb, this project wasn’t just about producing music — it was about enhancing a movement. Helping a company speak directly to its audience through sound is something he’s always passionate about, and with SubTV, it felt like the beginning of something big.
